Fixed Fees
Lincolns Family Law aim to provide legal services at competitive rates and can offer the following services for a range of fixed fees
Fixed fee initial consultation
We offer an initial consultation for anyone coming to see us for the first time, for a low fixed fee of £100. Your consultation can last for as long as you need in order to talk over your situation and to decide whether we are right for you.
Divorce Proceedings
We charge a fixed fee of £650 to represent you in divorce proceedings from start to end provided the petition is not defended. You will additionally need to pay the court fees (£593) or a process server fee if your spouse will not sign and return the required paperwork from the Court.
Non Molestation Orders
If you are a victim of domestic violence we can also offer a fixed fee arrangement for an application for a non-molestation Order.
We also offer the following services under a fixed fee arrangement when you have already reached agreement with the other party.
Separation agreements
If you want to set out your financial arrangements during a period of separation or how your family assets will divided in the event of a subsequent divorce we can draft a separation agreement for you.
Cohabitation agreements
We can draft an agreement for you to record each party’s rights and responsibilities in relation to the property where they live or intend to live together, the financial arrangements between them, both during and following cohabitation and the arrangements to be made if they decide that they no longer want to live together.
Consent orders
If you have reached agreement about the division of the matrimonial assets we can draft an order reflecting this for the consideration of a Judge.
Pre and post nuptial agreements
If you want to make an agreement with your intended spouse in order to safeguard the assets you bring to your marriage or if you want an agreement that sets out how you want your property to be divided if you later separate or divorce, then we can help you under a fixed fee agreement.
Hourly charging
Other areas of law are usually charged at an hourly rate. Fees will be charged on a fair and reasonable hourly basis taking into account your service requirements and circumstances. In all cases, we will discuss the likely cost at the outset and we will keep you regularly updated as your case progresses. You will receive an invoice on a regular basis and you can cap your fees in advance so you will always know what the maximum amount you need to pay will be.
